Celiac Disease is a digestive disorder caused by eating gluten (wheat). When children start eating wheat , their small intestines slowly begin to become damaged like an old towel. Therefore, nutrients are released from the stool instead of being absorbed into the bloodstream, causing malnutrition and fatigue.
Symptoms:-
Abdominal pain (can cause severe pain and odor)- Vomiting (some children only complain of vomiting)- Constipation and gas Inadequate growth and development- Constipation (may be the only symptom)- Weight loss or not gaining weight.
Treatment:
Celiac disease is treated with diet to be correct. For good health, gluten should be avoided completely. After completely avoiding gluten, patients can lead a normal life. What is gluten:Gluten is found in wheat and its derivatives. Therefore, definitely stay away from products made from wheat and its derivatives. This disease usually manifests itself around six months, when the child begins to eat.
Food Items to avoid:-
Wheat- Barley- Rye bread- Samosa- Pastries- Bread, Pies- Cakes- Baked goods- Pizza.
Food products to Eat :-
Lentils- Beans, Eggs, Homemade juices, Corn, All Vegetables, All Lentils, Household Items.
Important Notes:
This exemption is permanent. - Since wheat or barley flour is mixed even in the bowl, wheat and barley flour is available in the family. - Use a separate dough to make unleavened bread that is not made from wheat or barley. - Boil your child's water thoroughly. - Do not use dark juice as they use rice flour for thickening. - Avoid commercial Pakistani sauces as they also contain flour.
